The fine print
Fitting, really. How we look after your information, and the terms for using this site, kept short and in plain English.

Privacy policy
*Conditions Apply is a podcast hosted by Paul Burfitt and run by 64 Brands from Airlie Beach, Queensland. In this policy, “we” and “us” means us. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- When you use the contact or guest form: your name, email address, phone number and whatever you tell us in your message.
- If you come on the show: your recording, and anything you share in the conversation.
- Visit statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t follow you around other websites. Our hosting provider also logs basic technical details, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure.
This site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, organise and publish guest episodes, look at partnership enquiries, and run and improve the show. We won’t add you to a mailing list or send you marketing without your permission.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. We use a few services to run the site and our email:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and counts visits.
- Resend delivers form messages to our inbox.
- Google Workspace runs our email.
These providers may store information overseas, including in the United States. We’ll also share information if the law requires it.
Players and links
Episode pages include the Buzzsprout audio player, and we link to Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Those services have their own privacy policies and may use cookies when you play an episode or follow a link.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information and only keep it for as long as we need it. We don’t use automated decision-making.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Email paul@conditionsapply.show and we’ll sort it out. We may need to confirm who you are first.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, email us first and we’ll respond within 30 days. If it’s still not sorted, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Terms of use
By using this site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
It’s conversation, not advice
Episodes, show notes and transcripts share real people’s experiences and opinions. They’re general information and entertainment, not financial, legal, medical or mental health advice. Guests’ views are their own. If something in an episode hits close to home, talk to someone. Lifeline is there 24/7 on 13 11 14.
Our content
Unless we say otherwise, the episodes, artwork, the *Conditions Apply name and everything else on this site belong to 64 Brands or the people who made them. You’re welcome to share links and short quotes with credit. Please ask before republishing episodes, artwork or transcripts.
Guests
If you come on the show, we’ll talk you through how your recording will be used. Video clips are only shared with your OK.
Messages you send us
This is a hate-free zone, so please keep it decent: nothing abusive, unlawful or spammy. We read everything, but we can’t promise to reply to every message.
Sponsors and merch
When an episode or post is sponsored or paid for, we’ll say so. Merch isn’t on sale yet. When it is, the sale terms will be shown before you buy, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply.
Other websites
We link to other sites and services, like Spotify and Apple Podcasts. We’re not responsible for their content or how they work.
Liability
We do our best to keep the site accurate and running, but it’s provided as is. As far as the law allows, we’re not liable for any loss from using the site or relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes and governing law
We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
